At the beginning of December, Ruta took part in a television recording for the Christmas program “Franky & Coen: Patatje Hoop.”
It was not a concert performance, but a contribution to a broader television story — and for us, this made the experience especially meaningful.
The theme of the program is very close to us. Patatje Hoop follows two Dutch friends, Franky and Coen, who travel to Ukraine with their food truck to support people in difficult circumstances. Through powerful actions — baking fries, evacuating civilians, and delivering aid to frontline areas — they bring humanity, solidarity, and hope to inhumane conditions.
For Ruta, being part of this recording was an important moment. From an artistic and professional perspective, participating in a television production is always a new experience. It offers insight into the filming process, the dynamics of working with cameras, and the different way music is shaped for broadcast rather than for a live audience. It was a valuable step in our ongoing development as an ensemble.
We are now looking forward to seeing the final result, which is expected to be broadcast on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2025, on RTL 7. Being part of a program that brings stories of hope, resilience, and human connection to a wider audience makes this project particularly special to us.
We warmly encourage everyone to watch the broadcast and to support the initiatives and projects of Franky and Coen. While watching, you will have the opportunity to contribute — all relevant information will be provided on screen. What they do matters deeply. These are remarkable people, true heroes of our time, and we are sincerely grateful for everything they do. We will always be glad to support, contribute, and take part in their initiatives whenever possible.
