🕯️🎶 Christmas Service at the German Protestant Church in The Hague

On 14th of December, Ruta was invited to sing during the Sunday service at the German Protestant Church in The Hague — a place that has become very close to us.

This is also the church where we rehearse on Fridays, and over time we have felt an incredible sense of support from both the pastor and the wider church community. Singing Ukrainian Christmas songs during the service, we truly felt how warmly we were welcomed and how sincerely our presence was appreciated.

A particularly moving moment was the prayer for Ukraine — for us, for our families, and for all those close to our hearts. Hearing these words within the service was deeply touching and meaningful, and it reminded us how powerful shared prayer and solidarity can be.

After the service, we were gifted traditional German Christmas sweets and the Bethlehem Light, which was passed on to us with great care. These gestures meant a great deal to us and symbolised the strong connection we feel with this church community.

We are deeply grateful for this bond, for the openness and trust we are given, and for the opportunity to be part of such moments. We are always glad to contribute and to sing during special celebrations such as Christmas and Easter, and we truly value being invited to share our music in this space.
