On May 2, Ruta had the honor of participating in the Amateurkunsten Festival 2026 at Amare in The Hague — an inspiring day filled with music, connection, and community.
Together with many amateur ensembles from across The Hague, we performed for a warm and welcoming audience. It was especially meaningful for us to share Ukrainian culture and music in such a diverse and open environment, where different styles, traditions, and stories came together.
The festival welcomed more than two thousand visitors and once again highlighted the importance of culture, volunteering, and community initiatives in bringing people together. Throughout the day, there was a strong sense of energy, openness, and joy in shared creativity.
For Ruta, this day was truly special. We are deeply grateful for the warm reception, the kind reactions from the audience, and the opportunity to present Ukrainian songs and traditions as part of the cultural life of The Hague.
We would also like to sincerely thank the organizers and the technical team for the excellent support during the performances. The high-quality sound, attentive guidance, and professional coordination created a very comfortable atmosphere for the participants and made us feel truly supported on stage.
We would like to thank the organizers (Residentieorkest), Amare, PEP Den Haag, Cultuurschakel, all volunteers, and all participants for making this beautiful event possible.
We look back on this experience with great warmth and hope to continue building bridges between people and cultures through music 💙💛
